This policy applies to information collected by Shopi.
Information We Collect
When creating an account, you will be asked to enter an email address. Your email address is used for:
- Logging into Shopi (we will send you a login link).
- Responding to any support email you send us.
- Notifying you of important account-related matters, such as security problems or unexpected events such as service downtime.
We store information about your account, subscription status, shopping lists, and previously-used shopping list items. This is used to provide sync across devices (both yours and those who you share lists with), and as an online backup of your data.
If you enable push notifications when using Go Shopping mode, we also store the anonymous token your device gives us in order to send them. We will never use push notifications for marketing.
Like most apps, we also store information through the use of software relating to accessing the service. For example, we may log your IP address and general information about your device such as iOS version and model name.
We use the information we collect to monitor our service quality and to improve our apps.
We do not share your personal information with outside parties.
We may share anonymous, aggregate statistics with outside parties, such as how many people use Shopi. We will never share any details of the contents of your lists, even in the aggregate.
We may be required to disclose your information in response to legal requirements; to exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims; to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud or abuse, violations of our policies; or to protect our rights and property.
In the future we may partner with other businesses. In such transactions, user information may be among the transferred assets.
We implement a range of security measures to ensure your information remains secure.
Communications between the app and sync service are protected by industry-standard TLS 1.2 encryption. All user information is stored on secure systems, and backups are secured with AES-256 encryption.
Deleting Your Personal Information
You may request complete deletion of your account information at any time via our support email address (email@example.com).
Changes To This Policy
Any changes to this policy will be posted on this page, and the date below updated.
